Recommended Products to use for DIY
Thank you for visiting our site. Firstly our site is for the professional wheel refurbisher and as such can be confusing for the general public so we have put together a list of products to help you get it right first time.
Repairing a wheel scuff or damage on 4 wheels using Aerosols
Depending on the damage we recommend the following:
1 x High Build Etch Aerosol
2 x Basecoat Silver Aerosols (half a tin per wheel for the front faces).
2 x Clearcoat Aerosols
If the metal is damaged we recommend the use of alloy Gel and Activator, apply the gel to the damage and smooth with a piece of stiff but flexible card then apply the activator and the gel should harden within a minute.
Flatten the gel with a 180 grit sanding disc and finish with a 320 grit sanding disc, repeat until you are happy with the repair.

Again depending on the damage we recommend the following:
High Build Etch either aerosol or 1lt tin. (If using 1lt tin you will require a 2k thinner to thin 50/50).
500ml Basecoat Silver. (You will require 1lt basecoat thinner mixed50/50).
1lt Premium Lacquer. (You will require 500ml of 2k activator and 1lt of 2k thinner mixed 2:1 + 10% 2k thinner).
